They starve to death... that's why it's good to take them out and sell them to other hobbyists

Yes, unfortunately they will die without aiptasia. But they do have a relatively short life span. They are very easy to find when all the aiptasia are gone because they will be bright white and out searching for food. That makes them easy to catch and everybody knows somebody with aiptasia so they are easy to rehome
