Which 2 part dosing (Alk and Cal) you guys are using with Trident and DOS?

are there any best 2 part dosing additives?

I got some 'Balling Light' Ca/Mg/Alk supplements from Fauna Marin, also Trace Elements 1, 2&3. Very happy with the results.

I find most people only dose alk and cal only. Why most don’t dose magnesium as well?

I manually dose mag. Doesn’t seem to get consumed nearly as fast as everything else
Same here. The Neptune DOS pumps the Fauna Marin calcium and alkalinity supplements (separately of course) while I add the magnesium supplement to the top off water.

What procedure and guideline you follow to add magnesium to top off water? Sorry for the newbie question

That seems to be a good idea instead of buying a new doser just for magnesium.

My ATO container holds 5 gallons, and I add 4 grams of the Fauna Marin magnesium supplement. This has held the Mg level at ~1300 mg/L for months. This is a 120 gallon reef with a sump (probably 100 gallons total) and has about 60 corals and 60 pounds of live rock absolutely covered with calcareous algae. I'll modify the amount of Mg added when the Trident reports a change ion concentration, but so far, so good.

I use Seachems Reef Fusion 1&2 and so far I am loving the results. Fusion 1 has Calcium along with Magnesium, Strontium and other Trace elements.

Fusion 2 has all of the Alkalinity carbonates you need. I am Dosing close to a 1:1 ratio and the Trident/DOS combo has kept things pretty stable. I have seen good growth and color since switching over.

Plus, an added bonus is it isn't that expensive considering all you get with it.

Do you dilute reef fusion prior to adding it to the doser? Or do you just dose it straight from the container?

I just add 3/4 cup of Mg to my new saltwater mixing station every time I make new saltwater.
