i have heard that a radium run hqi and the ac on electronic have nearly the same spectrograph (or whatever the wavelength graph is called)

you are running a 10k T5 as supplement with your aquaconnect right?

why are you doing that? was it too blue?

my radium (when brand new) looks much bluer than your aquaconnect, but not near as blue as an XM20k.

so about how long does the AC's last on an electronic ballast before you have to replace them?

Aquaconnects last about a year unlike the Phoneix bulbs. Phoneix in my opinion should be changed out every 8 months. I just changed mine out on one of my tanks and you can see a big difference especially at the 8 month mark. Aquaconnects are the rolls royce of the 14K IMO they have better quality control and materials.

i am doing it for additional light along the front sand, and for daybreak/sunset effect. not too blue, and i;m going to try one of the blueplus bulbs in its place.

i also plan to change the vho actinics on the 180 to t5 10k's; thinking they should balance the 20k's out and bring out a wide range of colors.
