I have a Current nova extreme pro and it is 48" long with 6 bulbs. I'm using the bulbs that come with it which are 3-10,000K T5 HO Slimpaq bulbs and 3-T5 HO Slimpaq actinic. The daylight with the actinic looks pretty good, but I'm looking for more of a light blue look to the tank during the day that will make the colors really pop BUT also be for optimal growth. Also when just the actinics are on I can't even take a picture because the picture ends up being solid blue with no colors popping what so ever. Thank you!

This is what I was gonna go with on my 125.

ATI BLUE +
ATI AQUABLUE
ATI BLUE +
UVL AQUA SUN
ATI AQUABLUE or BLUE +
ATI BLUE +

Well, the reason I said that is,I was going to go all t5,but I myself, have the problem of wanting to not part with the shimmer and the succssess I have had with MH,I prefer my t5 as supp's and MH as my main lighting.

I really like the pop the blue+ bulbs gives the corals. I would say 3 blue+, 2 aquablue specials, and a fiji purple or purple+. If you really want some pop I'd look into reefbrite leds also.

I think someone has told me this combo before, but I couldn't remember it. This is perfect thank you! Hmmm on second thought are there any tanks on this forum with this combo so I could get a preview? Appreciate everyone's help!

Hope this isn't a stupid question, but will my dendro's color still pop?

NO question is a stupid question.

But,yes, its pretty hard to wash out the bright orange yellow color from dendros.

Here is a picture of my tank during the day...

Here is a picture with the actinics on, you can see how the dendro barely even shows up.

Odd,mine arent as bright under just atinics, but they are still hard to wash out of color IMO.Maybe some more feeding will color them up some more. They have always looked good under my atinics.

I will try feeding it everyday. I just picked it up from the store the other day, man did it transform from what it looked like at the store, I was just happy to see a tiny strand of a polyp out!
