best addon for Radions: t5 questions

i am slowing building a 2nd tank, not sure what ill stock it with but will probably end up being an frag tank for my main display, maybe an anemone tank. either way, since i have my main tank i will take my time here building.

its a 40 breeder, i will be drilling it and adding a modular marine 1600gph overflow plumbed to a trigger 26 trition sump (not using triton but brs had an awesome sale on these). the tank has a marineland stand and hood so i will be mounting 2 xr15 g4 pros to it and thinking on addign t5s.

what would be my best option over a 40 breeder to add in t5s, retro fit or would i end up spending close to the price of an ati hybrid fixture? 4 bulbs? 2 bulbs?

would like sps to grow easily, my current tank is a 4' 100g with 2 radion xr30 g4 pros and diffusers

Have you considered the Aquaticlife t5 hybrid? Running one over my breeder and love it! Very reasonable pricing and it will accept just about any LED’s.. they have different mounting hardware available to accommodate a wide range of LED manufacturers lights.

Two bulb will be plenty of filler light. 2 xr15 will grow sps in a 40b no problem. You may get a little shadowing. As for price savings not sure, but building and fittings things takes time. I'm getting to the point that my time is worth more to me.

i ordered the aquatic life fixture from foster and smith (coupon works), what bulbs should i go with to complement 2 radions?

i light my bigger tank with the ecotech AB+ schedule which i like but wouldnt be opposed to slightly brighter/whiter?

would 2 blue+ and 2 coral + be too white compared to the ab+ schedule? this tank will be focused on growth, mainly sps

2 blue+ 1 coral+ and 1 actinic ?

I run b+ c+ c+ b+. Its it's a good blue white I like it. Next time I'm going to take out c+ add a actinic, see how that looks. I turned the color channels down a little and leave the blue stuff 100% on ad+ schedule.

The two blue plus and two coral plus should look slightly whiter than the AB+ program. I used to run the two blue plus, actinic, and one coral plus and I felt like it blended fairly close or slightly bluer than the AB+ program

+1 to this. I use two radions with the ab+ schedule with the Aquatic Life hybrid running 3 blue plus and 1 coral plus. This is just slightly bluer than the radions alone and I plan on changing out one of the blue plus for another coral plus or actinic. I also tried a purple plus instead of a blue and did not like it at all.
