Best Algae Scraper

Like everyone else who will soon chime in, I will recommend exactly what I use for my own tank, which is a Tunze Care Magnet Long. It works well on my 1/2” glass. Although it doesn’t float, I do like the fact that the way it’s designed, it makes it less likely that you will pick up grains of sand and scratch your glass. It also has replaceable metal blades that do a pretty good job on new spots of coralline algae.

I like the Flipper Max Magnetic and the Algae Free Float Plus line.

+1 on Algae Free . Very strong and it floats .
Can use different blades as well .

Plus one more for Algae Free. I’ve had the hammerhead for 10+ years and love it. I wish the scraper had been available when I bought mine, but I have to go in manually with a razor to clean the coralline.

Since hybrids are the hot items today, I use a Algae Free on the dry side the Tunze Care Scrapper on the wet side.
