Curious to what everyone’s alk levels have been most successful for health/ color of your mixed tank setup ?
I’ve had problems with 0 nitrates and phosphates on one of my tanks this past month and it’s been a challenge to raise the two but finally achieved by great advice from
members here. One word of advice of several was to lower my alk so I lowered from 9 to 8.2 slowly I have seen results!

Hey adam

Glad the tanks doing good. It’s always good to see effort yielding results

I like anything over 8 for my tank. I’ve run into the 10s without issues, but short term due to poor management

IMO it depends on what your doing. If keeping SPS high light high nutrients then a higher dKH value may be the way to go. In my experience if your keeping SPS then your maintaining good water quality and keeping your numbers steady. Everything else should be overly happy.....zoas, leather, LPS etc.
