I'v been looking for something under 300 new or used but I'v just been wondering whats the best out there that includes a temp and PH prob

The reef angel comes with ph and temp I think. Two different prices for memory capacity but both under $300.

I'v been looking at the Apex lite thinking about biting the bullet with it just wanna know my options before I make the jump!

I have a reef keeper. When I was looking around I was leaning towards apex because of the text and the being able to control it from my phone. I just couldn't pay the price difference for the different options. So I went with a reef keeper lite which has done everything's ant it to and then some. I have been impressed. I forget exactly what I paid for it (maybe $300ish) but I got it with the sl1, two pc4's (8 outlets), temp probe, and ph probe. I have since got another RKL to keep just for my hospital tank.

We did a group buy and had a full blown Apex advanced for a little over $300.
Apex is the best, hardly and problems and a awesome customer service if you need it.

I'v taken a look at the Reefkeeper lite but everything just seems to overlap when you buy an expansion seems to me you're paying for half of what you already own

An expansion? You mean from the lites to the elite?

The biggest difference between the two is that the lite can control 4 modules (pc4,sl1,net) and the elite can controll 256. That is why I went with the lite. I am currently running three (two pc4 and one SL1) I do have stuff that is not plugged into it but that with one more pc4 it would handle everything.

how do I find others to do a group buy? I don't know any people to do this with

There is currently one going for bulk reef supply. I'm not sure if you will save anything on a controller.

Here is the link.

If you like to work computers you'll be very happy with a Reef Angel. I just got one and have it running the tank. No matter where I am I can control it. The programmers there have made it do amazing things. If you want a plug and play unit, get an Apex.

+1 for Apex. It is totally worth it.
