Best aquarium lights

I'll let you know when one of my eight dies out. You're supposed to clean your equipment, you know?
I wish you luck, and yes. I clean my stuff. I probably have the cleanest back glass you’ve ever seen. I wish Jaebao stuff lasted. It just doesn’t. I’ve gone through at least a half dozen wave makers and two return pumps. I use Neptune WAVs now and they’ve been going for well over two years....a point none of my jaebos reached.

How long have your Jaebos?

To the OP, sorry for the sidetrack....I think you’d do fine with any black boxes. I ain’t just light that grows coral.

You’re all good, don’t apologize!

Might be very powerful...an AI 16 maybe add a little price and do a great job but is much more controllable
How many would I need for my 90 though? Probably two I’m guessing

Sbreef makes a small Sprite fixture.

4.5 years. Sounds like a maintenance problem. Or blasting everything at full power on a pulse cycle.

I was looking for maybe around 400, so would I need one or two Al Hydras? It’s fine if two, I could try to make it work or save some money. Do you have any experience with viraspectras?
I had a Viparspectra 300 watt on a 46 gallon bowfront, a little overkill but was a good light. Still have it, upgraded to 2 Kessil's 360 when upgraded tank to 75. Grows coral well and has a remote. You may want to go with 2 Vipars 165 watt each.

Two of these would let you grow anything you want:

I swapped out for Reef Breeders lights. The 48 is a bit above your budget though. I wanted more control and ramping up and down (6 channels).
That remote is identical to the vipar's, I just don't like where they placed the digital display on the side, hard to see if you have 2.

are the vipars easy to control? I don’t want to have to change the light every day to the specific lights it needs to be on, because I may not be home. Does it have a timer or something like that on it to make it to where it can do that?

It comes with a timer and a remote too. You just need to set the channel percentages and time, then leave it

Do you mind sending a link to the specific one? There are three of the same labeled ones here, except for AU and CA but I don’t know what that stands for

What specific lights do you suggest for my 90? I know I will obviously need two, but what specific watt and all that?

I would do 2 of 165W models. You can get them on eBay or Amazon

The one at the top that says V165. For other ones, AU stands for Australia and CA is Canada.
Gotcha. Thank you for all your help. Send pics of tank please!!!! :)

They are a little tricky, another thing to consider is the black boxes are good but heavy and bulky, difficult to hang properly. I used a coat rack on wheels and modified it for hanging the light. If you have the money go with what Fish_Sticks recommends. And the remote does not last a year if used daily.
