Ok this is one of the most debated issues so in one of my refugium I have 2 6500k bulbs 14 watt non name brand on another caulerpa tank I have a aqua blue special and a 10000k 24 waty ati bulb. Now I have 1 purple plus 2 blue plus and a coral plus bulb what nm is best for macroalgae what combo should I use with what I have

you may hate this.
One 56k full spectrum. one 3200k. Or one cool white tube and one warm white tube.

i use the 56/32 combo. fwiw at the top of the water where the chato an calurpa is I get 5000 to 6000 lux. great growth, the reds all seem to prefer less light and grow under, in or around the chato

I have just these ati bulbs so can't get that 32 temp

Yeah I put that combo on I'm glad it's not super bright because it comes on at midnight

Anything with a kelvin rate below 6500K is good enough for growing Algae.
Think about a fresh water planted tank, 65 or 55 PC bulbs and you're in business.

So not 100 14k or 20 k cause some ati bulbs don't say a kelvin

The upside to those bulbs is. You actually never have to change them. Your growing algae not acros.
You can also try lowes and Home Depot for t5 vho bulbs. Should be very cheap.

I've tried so many bulbs I'm seeing the 2700 are good with a mix of 5000k or 65k
