Hey everyone I would like some opinions on an ATO for a sumpless tank. I know about the ATO that is made for sumpless tanks, however I do not want a big box inside my aquarium. I was looking into the Hydor, and JBJ. I'm trying to stay under $150 ish. What do you guys think?

Might I add it's a 40 gallon breeder

Great thanks! Would it be a bother of you to post a pic on how you have your positioned and set up?

Here's a quick pic. The hose is in the middle of the tank, near my skimmer. The sensor is on the left of the hob filter.

This is designed for a sumpless system..

I use one of their other ATO's and they work great.

This looks allot like the old Tunze design for a sumpless system and I did use it and it worked great.
The problem with just dropping a ATO in the tank is the turbulence and the wave motion on the surface can mess with them..

Another thing by adding the water and measuring it in a smaller area is there is less fluctuation in salinity too..

Here is a video on it.
