Best ATO?

Legit.

I'm using a Tunze Osmolator and a DIY relay setup to control a standalone Liter Meter pump. Works great and I have no more concerns about the Tunze pump with Kalk. The Liter Meter also allowed me to get my top off container out from under the tank and pull through the attic from a remote 32 gallon brute.

I use the Tunze nano for my QT when its set up - really a lot of your decision should come down to how big your system is. My system is in the neighborhood of 300 gallons, and my top off is 2-4 gallons a day. I need a robust system that wont fail in the ON position and a pump that wont crap out. Ive been using the Avast Marine ATO system for two years now and I cannot say enough good things about it. The pressure switch doesnt get stuck, like some of the other mechanical switches can. It works consistently and coupled with Avast's peristalic pump, this thing just keeps on working. I draw water from a resevoir thats ~15' away from the pump and it never has issues. Mind you, it is louder than the Tunze, but its a workhorse.

I bought a Tunze Osmolator because the last time this question was asked here, most everybody responded with "Tunze" lol. So I don't know a lot about the competition, but I haven't regretted my purchase whatsoever.

Spectrapure UPLC-ll. The user friendly buttons, peristaltic pump, multiple levels of safety and adjustability from 1/10" to 4" makes it tops. I have been using mine over 8 years and replaced exactly one silicone peristaltic tube in all that time which is a normal wear item anyway.

I have had two of these for about 12 years. One on my RODI tank and the other in my sump (actually it't been on 4 different tanks now). I have never had either one get stuck or fail. I even dropped the box into saltwater once, the submerged it in freshwater to clean it out then let it dry for a few days. Plugged it back in expecting to have to throw it away and that was a year ago. Still working today. I'll probably move it over to my next tank as well.

That looks great. Thank you.

I have just got the Hydor for my RS250 and the reservoir is under the tank in the cabinet. Seems to me the pump they supply for the unit for an extra €30 is a total waste of money as it has a head of only 18".
It just couldn't do what their video showed, I had to replace with a bigger pump and hence wider bore tubing. The unit itself is excellent and works well with a good sensor and overspill cut off.
Anybody else come across this pump issue with the Hydor??

Something to look out for for sure. definitely interested in getting a unit that comes with everything one needs to get going...
