Best ballast for 400 watt Radiums?

I've been hearing conflicting reports on the best ballast for 400 watt Radiums. I used to run PFO HQI ballasts back in the days but for obvious reasons, they are no longer available. People have suggested Galaxy ballasts, but then I hear that the color is too blue. Is there a way to get PFO HQI ballasts? Which ballast would you recommend?

I prefer Galaxy, but i do like a bluer look. Never seen them running on pfo hqi in person though.

Nope, like Richard answered, they have the adjustable one. I am sure you can find one on ebay or the reef classifieds though.

I love my galaxy..I get about 7-8 month out of this bulbs. Color is great too..
But, i think either Galaxy or Lumatek is great for Radiums

How large are those reflectors? I am in the planning stages on setting up a 36x36x18 tank and was considering the larger Lumenarc 3 full reflectors. I really want to run only one halide with a couple of vho's.

makes sense. honestly the big reflectors are good for a 36" spread imho. i know several people running 2 x 400s over the 300g deep dimensions tanks in the large reflectors like these. i also have some lumenarc 3s and these sunlight supply large reflectors are actually a bit bigger.

i am running the 2 x 400 radiums plus 2 vho super actinics and 2 vho 454 bulbs. it is a stunning look imo. just looking to give t5 + led a try over my tank.
