Best bio filter media, and order in sump

Hello, I was just curious what you guys think is the best bio filter media? Also what is the order of your guys dumps from overflow to pump?

Rock or pumice (seachem matrix). Drain area with chaeto/heater, skimmer, return pump, & rock crammed everywhere I can fit it.

Im about to hook up a turf scrubber fed from the drain area.
