best biopellets

is there a difference between brands of biopellets or do they all do the job just fine? any tips that people recommend when running them? I've just ordered a reactor and it's going to be the main source of nitrate reduction at the present, would it be sufficient on it's own or does it need other media alongside it?

They all do fine IMO. I've always started with 1/4 to 1/2 the recommended dose. Usually a 1/4, then adjust amount based off testing in 6 weeks. I assume your running a protein skimmer?

yes I've got a skimmer gonna be running the outflow of the reactor into it, at the minute I only have new rock and skimmer as it's a new tank, so implementing it with bits and Bob's

I would wait on the pellets on a new tank.

Biopellets on new setup!

Going to start a new tank. Just wanted to know if i can start the biopellets during the cycle or wait until its done and start stocking.
