Best Budget RO/DI?

Hey everyone,
I'm finally going to start mixing my own saltwater.
I'm looking around for the best budget RO/DI machine. I've heard that the BRS one is pretty good for the cost, any others I should look at?

You should be able to find something better and easier for the same price or slightly more. I have the Aquatic life twist in RO/DI system. It is EASY to use. It leterally takes 5 seconds to change a cartridge.

Personally I wouldn't pay that for the 3 stage. You can probably find it cheaper at an independent store.

I would also get a TDS meter and test the tap water before hand. This way you can decide on DI or not. I went with the 3 stage, then added DI a couple months later. But that's my 2 cents. Like everything else in the this hobby, dont rush the decision! If everything is going fine now, then you can take your time and really look into what you're buying.

Spectrapure refurbished 90gpd unit. May be a little more up front but takes all standard filters and cartridges and their membrane is a cut above the standard 50gpd units. I used an RO Buddie before this and wish I went with the spectrapure off the bat.

I scored a BRS 4 stage 75 gpd off my local reef forum for $80!

Get a standard rodi, like spectrapure or BRS. Then you can use most any filters, which end up being the biggest expense if you truly want 0tds water. The filters cost up to or more than half of what an entire new unit cost, so it's good to have buying options.
