I've never had a leak with it. People have complained about the reactor leaking too. They are threaded top, which I actually like... dont cross thread them, keep the threads clean and I've never had a leak. Had it running for about a year and a half 24/7 without a drop of water.
The only think that doesnt work is the flow meter, now sure why you would even need one on a calcium reactor as I go by drip rate and internal ph. I actually bypassed the flow meter as it just wasnt needed. Another thing that works great is the really large secondary chamber, it really stabilizes ph before it hits your tank, my tank runs 8.4 without a problem. It has a drop in top chamber I'd assume for mag if extra is needed.
I mix the zeovit mag with 2little fishes reborn media in the first chamber and the smaller arm crushed aragonite media in the second chamber. I have the milwakee pg controller and run my unit at 6.7ph, it maintains my tank at 10dkh 450 calcium and 1400 mag with a ph of 8.4, at a drip rate of one drip per second.
Another thing I can tell you is this unit is a beast, its huge and it takes up alot of room, I have mine in my basement under my tank and run a water line from my manifold down to it and a line backup to the sump with a pinpoint valve at the sump to adjust the drip rate.
It took me about 6 months to actually get the ph this low in the chamber. I had to actually start at 7.4 ph inside the chamber and as consumption went up I lowered the ph to keep up.. I made the mistake of starting at 6.8ph and my alk shot up to 16, so be careful with the setup. Start slow and start with a higher ph than youd think. Test adj adjust often until your comfortable its stable. I only test alk once a week now..
