Need recommendations for lighting a 48x24x20 on a $1000. budget. So far, it's down to 1 Kessil AP9X or 2 Hydra 32 HD's. Currently the tank is softies, anemones and fish. Any suggestions appreciated.

2 Radion xr15 could work for that size with the livestock you have and leaves room for any livestock you want with higher lighting requirements in the future. Plus the g5 are on sale right now

I'm going to echo a pair of Radion G5 XR15s. You'll be a lot happier with the Radions over the Hydras, and they're both made by the same company anyway...

The AP9X is 16" wide, so it won't have a spread of 48 inches. Either the Hydras or RadionXR15s will be similar function.

You could get 4 noopsyche K7 Pros and a controller for about 700. They are similar to Hydras in form. That would be a ton of coverage.

A 6 x 54 watt T5 fixture or 2 x 150-250 watt MH would be 'set it and forget it', but it sounds like you want LEDs.

Now leaning toward the G5's, but the mounting arms ($100 per!) push them above my ceiling. Are there any OEM mounts that work with Radions?
