How big of tank, how high are you pushing water up?Looking for input on controllable DC pumps. Mainly longevity, sound, access, ease of maintenance, ect.
I noticed none of your priorities were actually the pump's level of controllability or interface functionality. If you just need a really long lived, quiet, reliable, and low maintenance pump to run 24/7 get an SP4, throw a ball valve on it, and save some coin. If you do really need the controllability features then yeah I try not to spec anything below a red dragon or Abyzz pump if a DC return is being required by a customer- for reliability and longevity reasons mentioned above. In my experience an SP4 running full blast is about the same strength as an ecotech L1 running at 100 percent. Good luck!75 gallon at the moment, pushing up about 5 ft.
