I’ve been using iodine dips in the past to dip my coral, they work but not THAT well, I still have fought some long worms under some of my frags, as well as those astrea starfish.. any have experience with coralRX? Melafix? Or bayer insecticide? I’ve heard of people using box melafix and coralRX to kill certain pests with each one. But I know iodine helps with healing corals, would it be beneficial to give them a bath in the iodine dip as well after the original dip? Or is that overkill? What do you guys suggest is the best dip? I’m picking up 10 head frogspawn colony and some zoanthids so want to make sure I don’t kill them with certain dips and make sure I get ALL the pests off! Thanks guys (:

BRS said CoralRx but best budget as bayer insecticide. I agree, I honetly dip in a solution containing both for fun. I only dip iodine if there is damage to coral.

I use Bayer for pests. Reef Dip from Seachem for iodine dipping.

It depends on what kind of coral you are dipping and what you trying to accomplish.

For LPS and SPS, Revive and CoralRX are popular and will deat with most things. Many people like Bayer which is an insecticide.

I believe that there is not a dip that will kill acro eating flatworm eggs. But the three above dips will dislodge the worms... usually. For aefw only repeated dips over time work.

What about Reef-Primer from Polyplab?
