Not sure where the bubble algae came from but I have noticed about 8 bubbles in various little clusters of 2-3 around the tank. I tried taking them off but I just rip them to little pieces and they float around and I assume this just makes things worse. I also have a bit of GHA that I would love to have someone eat.

I ask for CUC because I am pretty maxed at fish for the time being and the tank is too small (50 gal) for #tanggang and I have a Midas blenny that I believe would bully a lawnmower (unless I am mistaken).

Any thoughts?

For CuC go to reefcleaners.org and just get their 20 gallon package. Nice diversity in it. For bubble algae emerald crabs will help with it.

That's right. They're tiny and get the hard to reach places

That's still half the size recommended for your tank. Just better to start small in my opinion.

seems like a lot. I already have 5 nass and a variety of other snails (tbh idk what the LFS gave me lol) but I guess I will add some more. I don't really have a ton of algae though so I will prob just pick and choose some of the things they offer and make my own bundle. Thanks!

For me Vibrant was the fastest CUC member, took 16 weeks, but destroyed my bubble algae completely.

Efficient.

+1 for emerald crabs. Remove the bubble algae manually, as you were.
is it safe for a mixed reef? Lots of Euphyillia, Zoas, Mushrooms, various sps, and gsp
Yes but will kill macro algae (chaeto) as it is an algae eating bacteria

My cleanup crew consists of 6 tangs and a foxface. They demolish any vegetative matter whatsoever. The foxface is especially effective against bubble algae.

The only “coincidence” was lost 90% of my coralline.....otherwise no other effect on anyone.
Dosed only as instructed.
GHA needs toothbrush help after about 8 weeks.

I've had emeralds for a couple years and haven't had that issue. Usually spend all day eating my coraline.
