I am in the process of removing nutrients from the tank but was told I. Order to get rid of dusting hair algae I would need to revamp my cuc. I have a few snails, a few turbos, and Lawnmower blenny.
I have used a stainless steel brush to remove a lot of the algae however my rock are very porous and have many books and crannies. Also it can be hard to scrub around corals and in the books and crannies. What CUC members have you had the best luck with removing hair algae? I also get diatom or cya I not sure which one. It's purple and many times forms on top of the sand and sort of cakes together. I have tried increasing flow with an RW4 but it seems to move the sand around..
Has anyone use peroxide to kill of algae?m
Thick clumps of algae like this I have pulled out
