I wanted to place an order for trochus snails but it looks like they are out of season and no current stock. I had 3 or 4 turbos which I just removed them all from the tank. Noticed they'd been sitting in one spot for a lot time and they aren't alive any more!

I never had any hermits. Wondering if the gha took over too much the turbos couldn't eat or if they were older to start.

What’s your tank size ? A tang (Yellow eye khole tang or a yellow tang and/or a lawnmower Benny should help with GHA.

Scarlet hermits, zebra turbos, rent a sea hare. Where you located? I've got about 500 trochus running around.

Can't add more fish. I do have a yellow tang in there. The longer strands he must not pick at. Thats kind of you @MJ in Boise. I do have a store that had sea hares about an hour out. I could try that route, then maybe look for some zebra turbos and scarlet hermits there.

If you can find an abalone they are eating machines! Keep tank under 78 degrees. Sea hare is better yet but you have to pull them once the job is done. Some fish stores “rent” them.

Check out reefcleaners.org has great prices on CUC
How long do you think is reasonable they can sit outside the house after delivery? We've got mid 80s this week which is a lot nicer than this past week. If they can potentially be delivered around 12-2 and are able to sit out there another few hours anyway then I'll place my order. :)

Edit: Should I grab 10 trochus and 10 scarlet hermits for a 75 gallon display? Specific goal to target GHA.

Pull out what you can by hand, the old stuff is less fresh and tougher, your cuc including the tang will destroy new growth.
