Best dip for Liverock to flush out pests?

The freshwater dip doesn't cause enough damage to worry about, but I'm also not sure it'll flush the guy out. We had a mystery clicking shrimp (definitely not Mantis) in a rock and tried the freshwater dip but he just rode it out and was fine after.

Correct, he was small and NOT a Mantis so after a while we just stopped worrying and appreciated the extra interest. It's been years, not sure if it's still there or not to be honest!

Good to know.

I laid out a trap last night with squid in it but nothing took the bait. Will try again a few more times and then assess the best path forward.

Patience is the key. They make traps for mantis shrimp and there's some decent diy ones if you Google it that way you don't have to stare at your tank for hours waiting for it they are smart for a shrimp
