I haven't set it up yet but I went for the Pacific sun kore 5th. Have a read of the reviews and watch dans reef YouTube vid on it.
5 heads, Bluetooth controllable, comes with bracket, ATU system and Auto water changing pumps

Used both GHL an Pacific sun. My vote will be GHL.

Can you still get that 5th Kore in the US?
Almost bought it awhile back but I have an Apex and they just released the DOS at that time and went with the DOS.

Sorry I'm not sure. I'm in the uk. The Dos look awesome if you have an apex !!

Yeah, The DOS is a very good product and what you'd expect from Neptune Systems.

I was just about to pull the trigger on that Kore 5th, all the sudden Apex released the DOS.
So it was a "no brainier":)

When I was looking at the Kore 5th it was the best bang for the money. You had to buy direct from Pac Sun USA.

Well, They're still here. They only had one unit back then. Looks like they went up a little on price too.

Yeah I know they are not cheap but when you consider all the extras I think it's a really good deal. An atu of that quality will cost over £100 and an auto water changer is even more. So didn't mind paying for something that can be used in so many ways.

I've never had anything else but my jebao has worked perfect from day 1. The only thing you gotta make sure the little hoses coming outa the heads are pulled out or they can bind the doser head

I own the GHL 2, Masterflex and BRS dosing pumps....

If you want continuous flow then Masterflex (off a CaRx), BRS dosing pumps are great hooked up to an APEX or similar, and very simple to set up. The GHL is the most accurate. But don't count on it's wifi capabilities. Need to connect it directly to the network. And GHL's interface is terrible compared to Apexfusion. But, once set up, it is an awesome unit. And Myghl.com has gotten a lot better. If neptune had a four head option, I probably would have went that route.

On a side note, I was really disappointed with the GHL 2 when I first got it. But that was when they were just releasing MyGhl.com. Connecting to it was almost impossible, had several calls with their tech department. Even with all high end networking equipment in my house--Ruckus wireless and Cisco managed switch--connections were always dropped. But once wired, it was stable. Not sure if they have now made the most recent firmware compatible with Mac, so make sure you have a PC. I own both, so Myghl.com was very important to me, as that allowed me to interface via my Mac Book.

cheers.

I run the BRS dosers on a controller now. Wish I had my Profilux again. [emoji6]

I'm on my first doser, the jebao dp4. It works and it was 65 bux. With the leftover $400 I bought my kid Christmas presents. everybody won. now I have heard of horror stories where a doser dumps a gallon of alkalinity in at once and crashing the users tank. My solution to this is small and partially filled dosing containers. Leave enough in there for a week and a day. every week when you do your maintenance you can add another weeks worth of additive. I think the ultimate doser for me would be the drews pumps hooked up to a controller. I like the slow drip these dosers deliver. GHL would be my first pick for a stand alone doser. LOL, but I have a jebao and my kiddo is happy!

I understand your logic sir. Our kid is twenty now, she's getting gift cards and underwear from here on out! [emoji12]

I was trying to convince the missus that shoes and underwear would be great gifts. I mean, that's what I got when I was a kid. But we ended up with a basketball goal and a whistling football which is a tad more awesome than socks...

On my local forum someone had a high end doser stick on and crash his tank.
the most reliable doser is your hand, but that's not convenient... I've heard both GHLs and even an Apex malfunction.

I still think you get the most for your money on the Kore 5th. So many applications for it:)
If my memory is correct... It had a water change mode and who else has a stirrer:D
