I'm setting up a new tank and want opinions on the best filter for the tank!

Ah you should check out a BRS tv you tube video, think is called “what coral eat”. But you have a lot of options from hang on back to in tank to sump tank equipment. Do you plan on drilling the tank or only hang on gear??

I dont plan on drilling..i don't know if I should go with a canister or a hang on..i like the options of adding media with the canister options. But the hang on are alot easier on the maintaince side. Thanks i will check out the video.

I would start with this. A lot of successful tanks with this type of filter and you can build your gear depending on your maintenance habits and stocking

You might regret not drilling, even if you don't use it right away.
Drilling facilitates a sump, which has a lot of benefits for a reef tank.
