so im looking into setting up a 10 gallon nano reef. the filters im looking at are the rapid fall mini canister from dr. foster smith. the new seachem tidal. or a aqua clear. which one would be the best?

^^^^+2 That is what I use on my 7 gallon cube I also use Chemi Pure Blue I buy it at Dr F&S when it is on buy one get one free.

Forget the filter, do this:

Get an overflow on the tank. Plumb it to a drain or large trash can. Get a big plastic container and fill it with new water. Have that new water gravity feed into the 10gallon all day, And overflow into the drain/waste container. Have it do 2-5 gallons a day. This will habdle all problems chemically related and wont require test kits or fancy exspensive equipment.

What youve got is new saltwater all day long :) and very few problems

Cory any pictures of your idea sounds good but I cannot picture it.

I just came through your comment and I think this idea will fit for my 10g nano. I am planning to keep inverts, only (no fish) and building a 10g sump. Hope it will work.
