Best fish that occupy the rocks

In my tank I have a lot of fish that swim in the open water all day long and the fish I plan to add do the same thing aswell but I want to add some fish that occupy the rocks and hide in caves and then come out everynow and then. So I was wondering what are your guys favourite fish that occupy the rocks other then a flame hawk fish because they are way to expensive in australia

Hmm do you have access to yellow watchmen gobies or anything like that. They are super common here in the US. They hangout in rocks all day.

what about some assessors? aren't they pretty readily available over there?

i have an orchid dottyback, rarely leaves his little cave zone. i don't think i'd combine him with a basslet/assessor in a smallish tank tho

I can get them but they are pretty rare for no reason because they don’t even cost that much. One thing I don’t get is that a lot of fish and coral comes from Australia but America somehow has more variety

Yellow assessor are pretty available I might have a look at a purple one though because I like the colour more

Also the other day I saw a red hawkfish at a fish store near me and I added a few fish a couple weeks ago so if it is still there in a week I might pick it up

Blennies also like rocks. Not sure if you can get those.

I can get some I saw a starry blenny at my lfs a while ago and it looked really good but it costed 75 Australian dollars which is less in us

My lfs always has a few of those do you reckon it would go well in a 75 gallon tank though with bigger fish

I think these are called yellow faced shrimp goby there. Any of the shrimp Gobies.

Shrimp gobies are pretty hard to come by in Australia though I love them but the only ones I have ever seen are yellow watchman gobies and also only a couple of times

They don’t have it any more I saw it before my tank got cycled and now it is about 2 months since it has cycled

Happens... my LFS had a pintail fairy wrasse male, beautiful fish... I watched it there for 6 months, the time I went there to get that fish, it had sold the day before, lol. I was so sad, such a good deal too, $120UsD
