I have 3green chromis right now. I’m debating what else I should get and how much I can put comfortably in a 46 gal.
I want to do 1-2 clowns
1 royal gramma
1 blenny
1 6 line wrasse
And 1 flameback angel.
is that too much? With in mind that I do want coral at some point as well.

Nothing stands out to me.... Clowns can nip at each others fins if they are not an established pair.

I'd be cautious about the 6 line wrasse, you'll more stories of them being evil than being good neighbours although both can happen. A pink streaked wrasse is ver similar without the jerk part or possibly a possum wrasse. Like others said the angel may nip corals.

+1 I almost got a six line and did lots of research on others experiences - I guess they can get territorial after awhile.
+1 on the Angel, I’ve heard poor stories about them as well. They’re hit or miss.

Best of luck!

What’s an alternative to an angel that’s just as pretty? And reef safe of course.
Or maybe instead of 6 line I found McCoskers flasher wrasse.

You may want to look at the flasher and fairy wrasse's. They are incredible looking fish with tons of color patterns, that are more docile than the 6 line and much more reef safe than the angel.

Yes I found one and I think that’s what I’ll do. They are impressively colored. And i read more and they are hardy and peaceful, yet active. So that’s my go to for now! Thanks!

I would add Flasher wrasse, clowns, blenny, (these two may switch I haven't had a blenny before) and royal gramma. LiveAquaria is a pretty good place but they may not have all your livestock in stock so you could try bluezooaquatics, if you're in the NY area Salgados Aquatics. There are many other places I just forgot
