Just wondering where everyone sees the best growth for light. Blue's, daylight mode? I haven't really seen much growth from mine. It's normally in day light mode.

What lights do you have ?
Feedings also help with growth

I currently have aquatic life reef edition lights. about to upgrade to 2 16" basic sb reef lights. just finished building the canopy for them and waiting for the stain to dry. since it's cold out. I'm doing extra time for letting it dry.

I do have caroline growth and algae that I clean off every couple of days.
Well its down to light and flow! Do you have access to a par or lux meter? If not @saltyfilmfolks has posted in several threads a link to an inexpensive and functional lux meter (on amazon I think). Using either is the fastest way to ensure you are getting enough light and then the spectrum can be addressed. We know that the blue/violet and UV spectrums make for a quality light mix and then a little white / red and some green. A good place to see a mixes mix that work for different types of coral is on the Ecotech site that highlights CoralLabs experiance. Below is a link to the PDF that applies to Gen3 Radions and although your lights may a bit different the information applies and the content is valuable.

What are your goals with respect to the type of corals you want to keep?

I just switched to my SB reef lights today. the aquaticlife reef edition is no were as bright as the SB reef lights. so I think it will help with growth. as far as flow. I have a Aqueon Circulation 950 Aquarium Water Pump. it provides just enough where it's not to low but not to much flow either.
