That Aquamaxx Hob-1.5 is a great skimmer and Reef Octopus makes some great HOB's too.

I have one of these on my 65gal, and it works great! Highly recommend. Only downfall is the micro bubbles you get after cleaning it, they are gone by the next morning tho

Funny I thought there was a smaller version of the Aqua Maxx HOB skimmer, I have the in tank WS-1 on a 25 gallon tank and it works great. I just check again if they did it is not available anymore.

Reef Octopus HOBs have been great for me. Had my first one for nine years (would have been longer except I never broke the thing down to clean). I’m almost a year into using the new version and it’s a stud. Never owned any other brand so I can’t compare, but I can attest to the quality and durability of the Reef Octopus HOBs.
