Best in-sump skimmer for 50g SCA cube?

Using the SCA301 and while it is fine for a needle wheel it is getting loud and inefficient. Will spend $ for something that is silent and will last awhile. Thanks.

Which model for a 50 would you rec? Is it Venturi or needle wheel?

Neither. Look at the 9004 or 9006 models.
The tech is similar to some hob skimmers.
They also offer D.C. Variables plus I like that all the parts are easily and inexpensively replaced.
Plus the USA rep is here in r2r very often.

+1 for Tunze. Running a 9004 on my quarantine and a 9410 DC on my main tank. Both incredibly quiet. Used to run a Deltec 1351 and the Tunze is so much quieter, with no annoying hum/whine (pump actually made in Germany rather than just a touched-up Jebao with different coils).
