Best large aquarium

Reef Savvy would be my choice if money were not an object. Planet made my 300 and have no complaints.

Mass market or custom ..... very different answers.

I agree, it greatly depends on whether your going mass produced or custom. Below is a link to my thread on custom manufacturers and some feedback on some of them. If you look at the list there are quite a few of them out there and that list is really just scratching the surface...

I like midwest customs for acrylic, customglass aquariums for custom glass, then best bang for the buck planet aquariums. If you want run of the mill aqueon is my choice.

If you want turnkey just drop the dough. I really like waterbox

Waiting on my 310 from Planet. It will be replacing my 180 from them. Their mega matrix give you a lot of choices.

Do you mind sharing you Planet Aquariums experience in the thread I posted above? Would be awesome to add new reviews

I'm OK with mass production. I was getting ready to set up Red Sea 750, but they are having way too many issues.

Is there a specific set of dimensions you would like to go with? Or happy with anything stock? How long are you planning on having this tank setup? If this is your "Forever" tank or atleast one you plan on having for 10-15 plus years? If this is the case it might be worth going custom and getting a tank that's exactly what you want. The perfect height, length and depth to fit into your space exactly the way you want it to

Both marineland and aqueon make a 210; marineland also a 265 and various deep dimension models. Though you’ll likely get negative opinions on the robustness of these tanks (most by folks who’ve not actually had them) I have had both the marineland 210 and 265 and had no issues with either. Are custom tanks from places like miracles and reef savvy better? Yes, but they are also much more expensive. Until my current custom 450, I mostly never kept tanks for more than 5 years before succumbing to upgradeitis.

I currently have a 93 cube, and not a fan of the 30 inch reach to get back, so probably something less than 30 width. Length is flexible, we have an pretty huge wall. I really liked the size of the 750xxl(I know, less than 200 gal) but what a clean looking set up. I just have trust issues with Red Sea right now.

You could go with something like a Waterbox instead, they have a couple models similar to the 750xxl. And theres always the options above of Aqeon or Marineland, Planet Aquariums or Miracles also make stock sized tanks that you can customize a little bit without breaking the bank. I guess the only downside to these options aside from Waterbox is they don't come with a stand. But you can buy them with one separately, all of them offer stand choices.
