Best LED lighting options

I ran galaxyhydro for a while and they are for sure decent lights. I would strongly urge you to try SB reef lights once you get more into the coral game. You can just buy a replacement board that works on your galaxyhydro or get a SB reef light and rub it beside your GH and you will really be able to see the difference.

I need some input on something I'm trying. I got reflective insulation to block the LEDs from bleeding into the room and maybe reflect some more light into the tank. What do you guys think?

I doubt the amount of reflective light is doing much. The brunt of LED strength and spectrum power is fairly directional, after it gets reflected you lose a lot of intensity (well over half) and greatly change the color spectrum. You really need two fixtures to cover that tank with the way it's spread is. Also be careful that the fixture can get enough air to breath and vent properly so the drivers don't over heat.

Yeah, it doesn't do much for the light in the tank i guess, but it completely confines it to the tank :) This is the completed setup, I'm just glad i don't see the lights from outside the house anymore :)

The ocean revive Arctic t247 works great for me. They are designed well and hardly give off any heat and are quite. But I will always suggest a kessils because I love the shimmer and small size. I am currently running the t247 though and I love them!

What size tank do u have them on?? I have the same one on a 40b and would like to know what percent ur running?? Ty

Any chance you could post a pic of your 40 with this light. I am building my own 40b and have been back and forth over lights and the t247 is an option. Are you happy with it? Getting growth?

Hello. I do not have the light on a 40g. I have it on a 60 cube. I have posted a pic of the tank, but at this time I do not have it with the light in the picture. I love the light. I have a clam, SPS, LPS, and softies.
