Most of those were 1" frags a few months ago. Have another nice lookin birds nest but was knocked over earlier during a tang skirmish.

That one has timer?

Yea, no dusk or dawn just straight on and off timer.

Do the sb reef lights have all the different colours that you can play around with?
Playing around with the colors can be done on 3 channels. A blue channel a white and colors channel an a moonlight channel. As they are setup they already have all the major photosynthetic colors covered you just set the kelvin color you want by changing the power to the blue channel or white channel. I love my sbreef light so far

Check out the BRS video on black boxes it will tell you all you need to know if the goal is coloration you get what you pay for

I would run 2x XR 30 pros for that size tank with acros you will not be disappointed in the color and my old gen 2's are still running unlike a lot of the cheaper fixtures that burn out after a year or two what your paying for is quality parts that will last longerthen some cheap stuff, how long do you plan on keeping your tank? How many lights do you want to buy? Spend the right money in the first place and you won't be shopping for another light anytime soon

Have you checked out the current pro lights? I have the orbit ic on my fowler and you can't beat the features for the price.

They are fine for softies is what I've been told. I'm using AI HD prime. Love them

I’m thinking this is the route I’m gonna go. How do the stand up with the radion XR30?

I use an Ebay Odyssea/ Evo Quad 60in 80 led x 3w x 153cm, 40 10,000k, 40 blue actinic 460nm with timer it makes a dusk dawn effect, $125.00 and it grows my corals very well

Seems no one is seeing the budget part. I run 120 wt leds I buy off ebay for $118 My 2000 gal system has to
have the sps regularly trimmed back as they are growing out of the water. the ones I buy are stated to be 165 wt
but if you read the fine print there only 120 wt. Do beware there are many who claim to be 165 wt but most are
less than the 120 wt and only the 120 grows sps. Since I run some 40 leds I checked out a lot of them before
settling on one.

Hello Kial
I got some DsunY lights they're cheaper chinese lights but not like the black box versions you see. They're well built. Come in varios sizes. Have 4 channel control and there is even a wifi version if you want.
Regards
Anthony

Hi Anthony. Thanks for the offer but I'm not looking to buy right at this moment, more just getting ideas on what I will/could get in the future. Have got a decent amount of information from this thread so thanks everyone for the inputs, going to have a look around at each lights mentioned.

how bout the current usa led light? anyone used those?

I’ve heard bad things about the loop lights but I use the older Current Marine pro model and they grow lps, sps and softies well. First pic is 4 24” models on my 120 and second is 2 24” on my 40 breeder both 8” off the water
