Looking for a light for my seahorse / softie / macro tank. I would prefer leds to keep heat to a minimum, moonlights and sunrise/ sunset would be nice along with a built in controller.

The tank is a tech 70, basically a standard 65 gallon. already spent a bunch cash from my new display budget so something older or used would be ideal.

Any ideas on what I should be looking into?

How macro intensive? You could go fresh water planted. A good one is less than reef one and it'll grow softies too.
What softies do you have in mind how Marco intensive.
And it's all about the budget too.

I haven't ordered any macros yet but I'd like a wide variety. for softies it would be leathers mostly, maybe some zoas, palys and shroom too.

Local options so far are as follows ...
160w 16k maxspect razor
Radion gen 2 (non pro)
Reefbreeders photon 32
4 bulb solar max t5

My girlfriend loves the pop from blue leds on her favorite softies, will i get that with a freshwater light?

Oh no. Your trying for a coral planted. It's sounds like any way. If it was macro dominat sure fresh would work fine and add some softies But soft doesn't really mean low light always. Zoa and some leathers are not all that low a light animal. The yellow devils hand I belive actually likes High light and will take acro level high light.

Any of those lights would be great for what you want. It's all about the budget then.

Watch the nutrients in that tank. The macros will take a lot of the no Po levels and compete with the corals. Lots of horse poop will help with that though.
