I've been doing some research into what light may be best light for me, as far as make and brand and type. Here's some info you may need:

Appearance:

As far as color, I prefer a more white wash, but I'm really not too picky about the color as much as I'm concerned with spectrum. I'm really looking to get my corals to color up, so I'd really appreciate the color spectrum from some lights like T5s.
Corals:
I'm an LPS and softie kinda guy. I really like plate and meat corals(Acanthophilia and cynarina), along with blastos, Lobos, and Duncans. I also have a micromussa and a green BTA that I'd love to see color up.
Tank:
Right now I have a 32-gallon biocube, but I may be sizing up to a 40 breeder style tank soon. Biocube is about 20" in each direction for matters of lighting. Flow is low-medium.
Upkeep
I'm headed to college next year, so I'd really like a fixture that could scale from maybe 2 fixtures for the 40 gallon down to 1 fixture maybe held a foot or so over the surface of a 10 gallon
Also, with the budget, I'd prefer something that I wouldn't have to replace bulbs for every 6 months, but I would be willing to do it if it would really make a world of difference for coloration.
For programming, I don't really care too much. As long as I could have some type of day and some type of nighttime lighting, finetuning the exact color of lights or a schedule isn't a huge deal to me.

I'm open to any type of light but from my research, it appears a hybrid LED/T5 would be the best fit for me.

2 Prime's for the 40, drop down to 1 for the 10 gallon. No bulbs to replace, full spectrum, complete color customization and control
