If money were no object, what is the absolute BEST light for a FOWLR tank? Surely the higher quality reef lights would make the fish pop better than inexpensive LEDs?

I understand that pricey lights aren't NEEDED for a FO setup, but do they make the fish look better? What lights would y'all recommend?

The Current lights are decent for this. They have ramp up, ramp down, cloud and sun weather than ACTUALLY looks good, and are cheap. You can get the pros if you want to add red and green (red can make some fish look neat, but the standard version works too and is cheaper.

if you like shimmer go with Kessil IMHO its to much tho but looks great mixed in with other lights.

if money was no option I like the look of nepthune SKY with kessil mexed in. yeah its pricey and totally not needed in a Fish only. have you see Ryan tank from BRS I think it looks great.

if you want cheap I have always wondered about these:

IDK anything about them they just cough my eye as possible FOWLR lighting.

go current if you want control (very low par, hard to use in the future if you want corals ever), go with orphek or3 bars if you want to have the option to buy more and expand them in the future for corals, go kessil if you want shimmer

kessil also can add more in the future if needed as well for corals, just a bit more expensive
