Best liverock? Florida? Hitchhikers! Macros!

Starting a new setup and I want all the hitchhikers and macros etc. anyone know the best place to order? I want everything I can get - please let me know

Prob need around 20lbs and money isn't an option.

Is Florida the best liverock for this?

I'm not concerned at all about hitchhikers. I'm setting up a new tank and want as many macros sponges, hitchhikers as I can get. Ill set a trap for a few months to see if I catch any mantis or anything else that's truly unwanted. Going for the natural realistic look.

What about some of the bad worms that come? Just saying some you may not see till your tank is up and running for a long time.

Live Rock n Reef, gorgeous live rock good and, bad hitckhikers. I think its right up your alley with what your looking for. Do a youtube search, and you should find a few videos

That's the idea, I do not care what comes from it! The more the better. I am picking up my elos mini tomorrow and have rock already but it's boring and 5 years old. I want to go with that natural approach and what better way? What pops up overnight is what keeps me interested.

9 years reef keeping and have done many different things out of the norm, I want to touch some areas that aren't actively done or frowned upon

Here's my elos 70, which is about as clean as it comes. Time for something nasty! Lol

One of the most fascinating things I have ever seen.

When startled he retracts what I call his skin and looks like a shiny shell. It's amazing

That looks really awesome! But worry it might be adding to the reef destruction....it looks so wild

Seems like the gulf rock mentioned above is a private sanctuary that they actually own. The live rock was planted 15 years ago. Sounds pretty interesting. Wish I had a bigger tank to order a ton!

I fear die off on the trip here, ill have to have like 50 gallons on hand to do some active waterchanges to try to keep as much as I can.

Florida is pretty heavily regulated. I'm sure it would be tough for them to last long by taking from the reef. Fish and Game there are active and on top of things.

My friend that bought some had it shipped by air and picked it up at the airport. There was a bit of loss but the amount of life that made it was amazing.

Another place to look is from Richard at Tampa Bay Saltwater. Beautiful rock, absolutely loaded with life and he throws in some real cool extras too.

id be afraid of something nasty but good luck.

i read a description of a couple of the florida places most of them mist with fresh water to help remove anything too dangerous.
