What do you mean by medicated food? Best food to mix medications with? Or best already medicated foods?
I like mixing different foods together for mixing meds for 2 reasons. Appeal to most number of fish, and better medication taste covering factor.
I have had the best luck of mixing diced frozen krill and brine shrimp with nori i put in a blender. I then mix with alginate(use focus i am still not sure how well this binds meds lol), selcon and seachem entice and the med i intend to treat with.
Personal This has been the most widely accepted mixture regardless of how pungent the medication i am using is.
Looking for premidicated food that I can feed them. Pellets or something
No medicated food is going to treat ich. Food can play a role in avoiding secondary infections and boosting the immune system.
Two most important parts as to why.
1.) quinine has shown no effect on exoparasites.
2.) these hard pellet foods that use a different compound are highly inedible. Hex guard etc. 9/10 fish will not eat.
I’m not looking for the food to treat the ich. I’m looking for it as a booster to help with anything internal that might have sprung up as a secondary issues to the ich
