Best Medicated Food

What do you mean by medicated food? Best food to mix medications with? Or best already medicated foods?

I like mixing different foods together for mixing meds for 2 reasons. Appeal to most number of fish, and better medication taste covering factor.

I have had the best luck of mixing diced frozen krill and brine shrimp with nori i put in a blender. I then mix with alginate(use focus i am still not sure how well this binds meds lol), selcon and seachem entice and the med i intend to treat with.
Personal This has been the most widely accepted mixture regardless of how pungent the medication i am using is.

I had to move all my fish I was the display and into quarantine tank’s because of ich . I am going to treat with copper but they were in the main display for a while before I could get everything up and running for my quarantine system so I’m assuming they probably need to flush out the internal systems because of how long they were exposed with ich

No medicated food is going to treat ich. Food can play a role in avoiding secondary infections and boosting the immune system.

Two most important parts as to why.

1.) quinine in food has shown no effect on exoparasites.
2.) these hard pellet foods that use a different compound are highly inedible. Hex guard etc. 9/10 fish will not eat.

Avoid pellets.

You will get best results with frozen or live foods. Adding fish oils and additional nutrient additives like selcon.

Try ick shield pellets by spectrum. It does work.
