Best method of transferring fish and corals

Hello guys and gals i currently obtained a 220 gallon tank and am now in the process of getting it ready so that i can transfer my 120 gal into that one and was wondering what will be the best way to do this when the time comes I'm taking my time with my 220 because i want everything 100% i rushed my 120 don't wanna do that for this one, My tank currently is SPS dominate with a few fish so I'm asking how can i move everyone from one tank to another with minimal loss mostly Coral loss. Once i move the tanks it will still take about a day to get the 200 100% since i have to plumb it fill it up with a combo of new water and old water from the 120 so i figure the occupants will be out of the tank for at least two days maybe less so how and what would you guys and gals suggest thanks for the help

Im not experert when it comes to sps and moving them so I'll let someone else chime in but I would recommend when you get to "start over" try getting rid of any parasites/unwanted critters at this time. Dip all the corals and LR as well as lining the bottom of your tank with egg create. Help hold everything in place when it comes to rocks as well as it doesn't scratch up the bottom of your tank. Just an idea to throwout there

You have two options...

1. Cycle the new tank with new saltwater or water change water from the 120. This would involve both tanks being up and running for a good amount of time...

2. Do the move in one day. Save as much water from the 120 as you can and add it to the 220. Have premixed saltwater matched as close as possible to your old water (PH, Temp, Ca, Alk, Mag, etc). Fill up the 120 and add the live rock and inhabitants. I moved my 75G to a new 125 in a day and had zero coral losses in the move, however I did lose my achilles due to agression in the holding container while I was moving water...

When I did mine I Cycled the 75 and when it was done moved everything from the 56.. It was a long 3 months wait time, but it worked for me..

yeah i was gonna do that and yeah i thought bout the egg crate because I'm not going with a DSB this time around so i will need something to hold everything in place

i think i will try it that way that was actually the way i was leading into but I'm not gonna do a day just because i wand to make sure all connections are 100% and everything is running right then place them back i have a small container that i can place all the fish with a small pump to circulate the water
