Hi guys. My tank is around 4 months old now. Calcium residue is starting to build up around the sump. Any tips and tricks on how to clean it short of wiping it and having in fall in sump or the floor?

what is it? Purple Coralline?

If it's salt creep, just scrub with a wet cloth...I typically just use RO water and paper towel. If a little falls back into the sump it will dissolve again and shouldn't make much of an impact to your salinity. Or just scrub or wipe in the opposite direction of the water so that you can catch as much of it as possible in the paper towel.

Ahh salt creep. I try to prevent it as much as possible. It will form wherever you have splashing water or air bubbles. I just pick the chunks off the side of my tank by hand, and try to prevent it from falling in because the stuff collects dust/hair.
