I will be running a 250w radium over my 28 gal Nanocube SPS reef. I need a good reflector, but most are too big and will give me light spill. I want it 5-10 inches above the water so I can get a good fan blowing under it, so what are my choices? I'm looking at the lumenmax 2.

I can't go with any fixtures (Sunpod, etc.) because I want to run a SE radium. If you don't understand why, you haven't seen a radium work it's magic.

Thanks,
Dylan

I want the entire tank filled with SPS from the sandbed up, and not have to worry about not having enough light.

Im running a 150w radium in the JBJ HQI hood and it just isn't enough. The reflector isn't too great either.

hmm, I've got a 28g HQI and I've got a good bit of stony's in there, no problems either. I just installed the NanoTuners 2x18w PC actinics and I love it. Awesome color bulbs too

I'm having problems with heat issues, and my 150w phoenix on my biocube 29 isn't able to give enough power to keep the colors nice, or the growth I want.

To be honest, I would be looking at something other than the lighting. A 150 watt halide should be plenty for that size tank, JMO.

I can't keep a pink birdsnest bright on the sandbed with a 150w halide... It just won't work. Maybe with a better reflector, but the sunpod reflector isn't very good.
