Looking at making my stocking list for my tank. In the past (and by past i mean over 10 yrs ago) I would head over to liveaquaria to see a variety of fish and recommended size tank for each but now im realizing they don't exactly have info on all the possible options that I could go with. Is there a site I can see a large list of all the different types of fish, possibly broken down into different categories with care level, recommended tank size, etc..?

well live aquaria has a list of all common to uncommon saltwater aquarium fish species:

sorry if that isnt what you're looking for, but it has a ton of fish categories
yeah Live aquaria I'm familiar with, but I've been looking thru past posts of people asking about stock lists for their 50g tanks and go there to look up the suggested fish and sometimes they aren't listed on there so wasn't sure if they just weren't listed because they don't carry those types.

It’s not got EVERY fish on it but it has the scientific names that prove helpful. Sorry about how it’s on the Amblyeleotris genus by the way.

Really has proven helpful for me to use with the common-uncommon and even some rare fish scientific names to help with a deeper amount of research.
The easier way though is make a HUGE list of the species you really want along with tank size and dimensions ect. then we can sift through it and help you out with fish stock.
