Best paint for inside of stand?

This is my stand build for a 90 gallon. It is 2 x 4 with a 3/4 plywood top. It will be skinned with 1/2" solid oak. The skin will be stained black to match my other cabinets. The bottom will have 1X2's supporting the plywood for the sump. that will be recessed. I have some vapor barrier left over from a flooring install I was going to coat the bottom with that to make a water tight area just incase of small leaks. I would like to coat all the wood with it but I don't have enough and it is very expensive stuff. What paint works well for the inside of stand? good primer? I was debating spraying it with automotive paint. Has anyone used the Rustoleum deck coating? What have you guys used?

If you haven't built yet, I don't like putting point loads on a floor. The lower 2 x 4's need to be under the uprights, spreading the load on the floor. This picture will help show what I'm talking about:

As far as paint for inside the stand, I really like Kilz Complete primer....it's the oil based primer of Kilz.....this stuff is great. You can leave it just with the primer of cover it with any good latex.

it is built already. top is not on it though. and it will have center supports going to the bottom 2 x 4's my thinking on that was to sped the load that way. Will that work or should i flip it over?

i would use an Epoxy paint over a Latex.

I used the spray on rubber from home depot. Best decision I have ever made. Basically turned the bottom of my stand into a bucket in case of spills or overflows. Water and wood floors don't mix!

I was thinking that very same question just a moment ago.
Is regular spray paint not suitable?
I was just going to do a few layers of primer and a couple of layers of matte black.
I thought 3 or 4 coats of an oil based primer would waterproof it well enough.

I am currently building mine now and am using flexible spray rubber.

I've always used a good interior latex wall paint over kilz latex primer.

Epoxy, or rubber sprayed on be sure to get all sides bottom included.
