Hi Peeps and thanks again for helping me answer questions! There is a lot of confusion & so many different answers on reef parameters. So I came to the conclusion that the below is best for a mixed reef. Please correct me if any are wrong. This is a new tank with no coral/fish yet so I wan't start getting the right parameters from the get-go.

What I gathered for a mixed reef tank I should aim for and keep consistent with:
PH: 8.2
Nitrite 0
Nitrate: Less than 5ppm
Phosphate: Less than .3ppm
Ammonium: 0

Below I'm using BRS's Elevated Parameter Tank for Better Coral Growth:
Alkalinity: 12dkh
Magnesium: 1390ppm
Calcium: 465ppm

Yep, those all seem like the 'standard' recommendation. I let my pH fluctuate from 7.95-8.1 and nitrate bounce from 5-12. I got tired of trying to chase a constant 8.2 pH.

Things change all the time so just be aware of what's acceptable and what's not. Trying to chase exact numbers all the time might become tedious work.

Thanks a ton for your input! Gonna get some more recommendations and update title for an easier search for newbies! I had to do a ton of searches and look at you tube videos to put this all together lol.

Calcium is high but the rest of those parameters are pretty standard. Calcium 350 but no more that 400
