Best phone camera

My wife, mother-in-law, and best friend all have the 6 Pro. 2 of them have issues and 1 doesn't. I believe Android 13 is fixing a lot of the issues. I always felt 12 was rushed and Tensor being brand new didn't help things.

Here are a few. I'm admittedly not great with a camera. Never learned all the angles and tricks for cool photos.

Looking good! You got a pretty white spectrum, which always makes for crisper photos in my opinion.

The halides are more white than most people run but I still have to set white balance to 10k in Pro Mode for those shots.

Man that's nuts! I wonder if many of those software issues have been fixed with updates. I have not had any problems like that. I have noticed the battery life isn't the greatest, but thankfully I'm not much a power user.

I was hoping to get an Apple when I went in to upgrade, but the incentives to get the 6 Pro were just too good.

Got any S22 Ultra shots you'd care to share?
Would you be willing to do a tutorial on how to use the pixel features to shoot reef pictures? I have the Pixel 6, know nothing about photography, and all of my photos come out looking like they were taken in a sleeping bag.

You really need an orange filter to get decent pictures of a reef tank. I use a big one from flipper that also fits on their 4" magnifier, it's only $15

This is without any post processing. A little bit of tweaking in Google Photos or Snapseed can take it even further!

Disclaimer: I just took these quickly and freehand to illustrate the point. Both the tank glass and filter were a bit grimey too.

Did you set the white balance to warm? That will help a bunch. An orange filter also does wonders

I have no recent experience with Samsung of Apple, but I would also consider the Pixel 6 Pro. It has an orange to blue slider, which really helps to dial in true colors. A good lens/filter kit is really what makes all the difference though.

Hi there, hope all is well, just out curiosity is this a living crab ? I see coraline algae on it,hydroids, what look like legs, one eye possibly 2 but still unsure, but looks kind off cool and if so,what kind off crab

I know that folks will have differing opinions between Apple and Samsung here, but if we remove personal bias which phone has the best camera for taking coral pictures?
I think most of the time, the issue is the filter, not the phone of choice. Either Apple or Samsung would work great with this filter (only $29):
