This might have been done over and over.. but thought I would ask.
I am using ARM right now. Extra Coarse and Coarse. I tested with hanna ultra low and low and get a read of .04. Tank water reads 0.00 on same test kits. So while ARM says phosphate free I am saying its not.. Is there really any media that is phosphate free. I do have a 8 year old bag of the Schure Media that was out there.. its left over from my old reactor... Thinking of going back to it.. basically its old dead coral frags..

thanks

If your tank water is 0.00 then seems like you need some phosphate. Wouldn’t seem to matter whether the carx effluent had small amount of phosphate (when diluted into your tank water would have minuscule impact). Would make your carx media choice based on all other factors besides phosphate.

tank is showing 0.0 but I do have algea growth so I do believe it is not really 0.0

I see. I have never tested my effluent. I can’t make a recommendation. I would imagine that all media based on coral skeletons would also have small amounts of phosphate.
