Best phyto?

What the best store bought phytoplankton for your money?

mans then how much should I be adding to my tank?
Any of them, for roll your own I like Mercer of Montana. .... do you just use it as is or do you split it and multiply it out?
For out the bottle I like phycopure I think
The bottles usually have dosage rates, but I roll my own and sorta wait till it peaks. can’t give you a density or cell count. TBH I sorta do 2 “chugs” :)

I really should culture my own, but don’t have the time right now. I’ve been buying Mercer’s and I think they have the best deal. I don’t measure either. Turn flow off and dump a little in the sump and the dt.

You can find our Phyto-Feast Live in stores that carry Reef Nutrition products. Our phytoplankton is mainly sold in stores; although we do sell direct to hobbyists that lack a nearby store that carries us. Our microalgae is the most diverse and concentrated on the market. Instead of growing 6 different species of phytoplankton, many hobbyists simply choose to use our algae. Here is a link for more information: https://reefnutrition.com/products/phytofeastlive This product has a 3 month viability window (cells are still alive and splitting) as long as it's kept refrigerated in between feedings. A beginners dose is 1 TSP per 100 gallons per day. We ask that you start off conservatively since the product is highly concentrated and can easily pollute a tank if too much is added at one time.

Thanks for the recommendation, @vetteguy53081

Reef Nutrition/Reeds

I used there stuff when I used to breed clowns.

The best unless you raise your own.

Their algae pastes or instant algae are the best non-non viable form. This means it can be stored for a while and doesn't loose much of its nutrition as time goes on.

I just ordered a bottle of phyto feast. If I only need a a teaspoon for 100 gal then it should last me a while, as I order the 32oz. I mainly use it to feed my pod population in tank to keep their population growing. I have a mandarin to feed. I also order one bottle of apex pods.

do y’all not sell your live pods in anything bigger than 6oz? I’d love get more, but the pricing is slightly steep for such a small amount.

We currently only offer 6 oz. bottles. Each bottle of Apex-Pods has 2,000 copepods in varying stages of development; this is a good number for seeding a tank or refugium.

Thanks for your purchase. We really appreciate it.
