Best placement/setting MP10

I have two MP10

I’m trying to get the best placement/setting for Euphyllia

I don’t want to blast them but want to give them enough flow so they’re happy

Have frogspawn/torch/hammer

Monti, acans,chalice and a few leathers

Any suggestions?

Place them on the sides of the tank up just above the middle of each side. Should create enough water movement to keep your euphyllia happy but not enough to blow them around too much. Start in a low setting and work your way up as needed

Which setting would you recommend?

Think now I have one on the green(around 6) and the other on reef crest(also 6)

Thinking to find that balance

Anti-Sync them together if wireless and run Lagoon. When one ramps up the other is ramping down. Gets the linear flow out of the tank.

I’ll try that tomorrow. Seems like it would create nice flow

Any reason lagoon over reef crest?

I say Lagoon because it’s a more gentle flow pattern. Reefcrest is more suited for SPS where the pattern changes fast and hard. I have 1 Duncan coral at the bottom of my tank where the flow isn’t as erratic and it seems to like it. When I had it up higher it really didn’t like the fast changes and high flow.

Seems good so far

Not a ton of water movement but enough so they “sway”

The issue with running lagoon mode with your vortechs anti synced is, lagoon changes very slow, so the master pump is always close to max speed setting and the slave is always half of that. If you run your pumps anti synced you are better off running reef crest. This way both pumps switch between max and half speed.

Should I do both on lagoon just synced or do you think any sync reef crest?

I run mine anti synced reef crest. I tried Lagoon but all the flow was coming from the master. Anti synced reef crest gives me a nice back and forth
